Gay porn star Arpad Miklos, real name Peter Kozma, is dead. He was 45.Speaking with Howard Bragman on his web show Gwissues, writer Randal Lynch said Miklos was found dead in his New York City apartment on Monday.
“He passed away sometime on Sunday,” Lynch said. “He had, unfortunately, committed suicide.”
A chemical engineer by trade, Miklos was discovered in Hungary by gay porn director Kristen Bjorn. His first appeared in the 1995 film The Vampire of Budapest.
“He was a great guy. On top of that, there was a lot more to him than just that surface persona. He was a very active person in the gay community. He gave a lot of money to charities, and just overall a really a good guy,” Lynch said.
Lynch added that Miklos did not speak English when he first came to the United States.
“He didn't even speak English and he was all self-taught. And was always continuing his education, which is how he continued to stay here and do all the things that he did.”
“I knew he was depressed but I didn't realize the severity of it, because he was not a very talkative person about his own emotions,” Lynch said.
